DRIFFIELD CONGREGATIONAL CHURCH |
About Us |
Our Beliefs |
We are a small (but growing) friendly church in the centre of Driffield with a family atmosphere and an evangelical ministry.
We are known for our warmth and hospitality and we welcome visitors and newcomers with open arms. We aim to share God’s love with each other and the people of our town using the talents and abilities he has given each one of us.
We would love more families to join us and we strive to look after the children that we have by actively involving them in the services and making them feel part of the church. Noisy babies and toddlers are equally welcome and we provide a crèche/toy corner for the young ones and kiddie bags for those who prefer to sit in a pew.
We cater for the elderly and infirm by offering hot water bottles or blankets for use during the winter months. The church is fully wheelchair/pram accessible with disabled toilet and baby change facilities. |
We believe in the one living and true God, creator, preserver and ruler of all things in heaven and earth, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Him alone we worship. and in him we put our trust. |

Our Services |
Our Sunday morning services start at 10:00am and usually last about an hour. We use Mission Praise and Junior Praise hymn books and sing old hymns and new(ish) choruses and childrens songs. The services are either taken by our Minister the Reverend Ian Jones or one of our guest preachers and include hymns, prayers, readings, a children's address and a short sermon of about 20 minutes. There is a Sunday school for children to attend during the sermon if they wish to. Our Minister and Sunday school teachers are fully CRB checked. After each service we serve coffee, tea, juice and biscuits in the entrance area and enjoy a time of chatting to each other and our visitors. On the second Sunday of each month the service includes Holy Communion. Tea Time Praise is also held on the second Sunday of the month 5-6pm, this is a short informal time of singing and eating to which all are very welcome.
